Some apartment communities maintain a website or app with an online community calendar. You can check the calendar to see any upcoming events or even plan for events further in the future. There may also be links to flyers and other details for each event on the calendar.  

Flyers Around the Property  

It's not uncommon to see printed flyers posted in public places around the apartment buildings when an event is around the corner. Flyers get people's attention even if they aren't checking community resources and can make people aware of where to look for events and updates.

You may also find event announcements posted in either the apartment office or the shared clubhouse, where people are more likely to pass through. These spaces are shared by all the residents.

Events vary from year to year, but last year, there were Valentine treats in February, coke floats on National Coke Day in May, donuts and coffee for National Donut Day in June, and an ice cream social for National Vanilla Ice Cream Day in July; you get the picture.
